Richardson-Sloane Special Collections Center
This special part of The Library is on the 2nd floor of the Main Library. It has lots of local history materials that are kept in special storage.
Hours:
- Monday: 12:00pm–8:00pm
- Tuesday–Friday: 9:00am–5:30pm
- Saturday: 9:00am–12:00pm (*first of every month)
What you’ll find here:
- Books, maps, pamphlets, videos, and oral history recordings
- Over 50,000 local photos
- Archives for the City of Davenport
- Genealogy materials (mostly for Scott County, but also other parts of Iowa and New England)
When you visit:
- Use a locker for your personal items
- Pencils only (no pens)
- No food or drinks
The Richardson-Sloane Special Collections Center has over 1,700 books from the Scott County Iowa Genealogical Society and the Richardson-Sloane Genealogical Library.
