Right now, the Library does not have a Social Worker on staff.

What Happened

  • In October 2021, The Library hired a Social Worker for 3 years using special ARPA funding.
  • The Social Worker left in March 2025.
  • We tried to hire someone new, but didn’t find the right person for the job. The job was only for 1 year, and that made it harder to find someone.

What’s Next

Library leaders are looking at other ways to offer help, including asking for new funding in 2026 and collaborating with social service partners in the community.
