The OWL (Outreach Wheeled Library) is a library on wheels that visits places like schools, senior homes, and community events. It helps people enjoy books and library services even if they can’t come to The Library.

Shop for Books and Help The Library!

The FRIENDS of the Davenport Public Library sell gently used and new books to help pay for fun library programs. You can find all kinds of books—hardcovers, paperbacks, movies, magazines, and sometimes even puzzles or games. Every time you buy something, you’re helping The Library. Thank you!

The Library worked with Davenport Parks & Recreation, FRIENDS of the Library, and 5-2-1-0 Healthy Choices Count to set up StoryWalks® in three parks:

• Green Acres
• Lafayette Park
• Van Buren Park

A StoryWalk® lets you read a story one page at a time while you walk outside and enjoy nature. It’s a fun way to read and play!
